The Penn Museum is hosting an exhibit on artifacts of the old Silk Road. In my World Civ classes I spend a lot of time discussing the economics, the politics and the culture of the Silk Road.
So I'm going to give my students extra credit if they go and experience the exhibit. My honors students really liked the project of going to the museums last year. They may not have liked the presentation but several students went to the Penn Museum and were blown away - which was the point. You can see a NY Times piece on the exhibit here: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/21/arts/design/21silk.html?_r=1&hp Comments are closed.
